The 76ers are wise to completely stay away from this sinking ship

Thankfully, the 76ers are far away from this “race”.

Nothing seems more pressing right now for the Philadelphia 76ers than to make a change in some way, shape or form. The team has seriously blundered since the new calendar year kickstarted, and there are not really a lot of encouraging signs as of late to warrant the belief that they can regain what seemed to be a trend in the right direction just last month.

The 76ers have now lost five of their last seven, finding themselves grasping at straws while still outside the postseason picture. They are seven games below .500, and their schedule is starting to pick up steam difficulty-wise. Clearly, the road for them to make the playoffs this season has just gotten rockier.

Yet despite all these, Philly has way too talented of a roster to firmly think that they only have a little shot at cracking the playoffs. Given that the distance between them and the playoffs is still well within reach with the second half of the season still coming up, pressing the panic button remains hasty at the moment.

The 76ers seem to be completely far away from Bradley Beal and the Suns

Thankfully, the 76ers do not look desperate enough to plunge themselves into another manhole just waiting to entrap its next victim. We are referring to the impending doom in the Wild West in the form of the Phoenix Suns, another one of the biggest disappointments in the NBA this season.

Despite also bannering a pretty robust collection of talented and proven players in the NBA, the Suns have merely mustered a mediocre 19-19 win-loss card this season. At this point, it is rather safe to completely erase the prospect of them crashing their way into contention, as they become way too underwhelming to even pencil them in as a surefire participant in the playoffs.

As a result, the Suns are looking for a major shake-up, one primarily centered around trading Bradley Beal, who has since been relegated to second-unit duty due to his struggles. The former All-Star has looked like a complete misfit next to Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, prompting Phoenix to do whatever it can to get rid of their third star.

Trading Beal would be tricky given his no-trade clause, but thankfully, the 76ers have had absolutely zero links connecting them to the 31-year-old. So far, he has repeatedly been involved in rumors about a potential trade for Jimmy Butler, who is currently on a standoff with the Miami Heat.

Hopefully, this omission continues. The Philadelphia 76ers may be led by one of the most trigger-happy executives in the league, but staying completely far away from Bradley Beal would obviously be ideal.
