Much like Edgecombe, Brown was selected third overall in his draft class and had lofty expectations placed on his shoulders from a young age -- much from the media, but also from himself. He entered the league wanting to transform the Celtics into the juggernaut they once were. However, he found himself lower in the pecking order than stars who had already established an admirable reputation. Brown didn't sulk; he used this as a learning experience, and now Edgecombe must do the same.
Edgecombe must bide his time
Nobody wants to see VJ Edgecombe's development hindered, as he has limitless potential and is already in line to become one of the NBA's leading lights.
