New Philadelphia 76ers star Jaylen Brown has already refuted the largely contrived notion that he does not have a good relationship with Jayson Tatum, his former co-star when he was still with the Boston Celtics. That being said, given how reactionary the media can be, a recent viral warm-up clip showing the former not interacting with the latter might just be fresh material to once again peddle that false narrative.

Before the 76ers' latest preseason game, which was against the Celtics, Brown and Tatum were in close proximity to each other on the court during their shootaround session. People took note that Brown and Tatum did not even share a moment with each other, focusing instead on their warm-up. Of course, a lot of fans on social media were quick to react.

76ers star Jaylen Brown may have to brace for new Tatum-related drama

The preseason game between the 76ers and the Celtics marked the first time that Brown visited the TD Garden since his unceremonious exit from Boston. However, he ended up sitting this game out, even choosing to it the match from the visitor's locker room, according to reports.

There were some developments in the last few months that dispel the narrative which has Brown beefing with Tatum. In more than one occasion, both All-Stars praised each other, yet given the bolstered rivalry between both teams, people cannot seem to grow weary of pitting one against the other.

Well, avid enthusiasts of spinning otherwise glib instances into rousing drama will be happy with the subject video clip. The 76ers and the Celtics will be duking it out at least four times this regular season, and with both teams engrossed in putting forth their narratives to spice up the actual basketball product, suffice it to say that Brown should brace for a possible, if not impending storm coming his way.

Given how formidable both teams are, Philadelphia and Boston could even end up going head-to head in the end for the right to represent the East in the 2027 NBA Finals. The 76ers have way too much talent and experience not to go on a deep run, while the Celtics have a rock-solid system in place that has already proven itself to be a viable championship formula.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum will always be linked to each other. And to be quite frank, given that unseverable nexus, people will always find a way to pit them against each other especially now that they are on separate teams. After all, they can only control so much given the media's itch for constant drama.
