Kevin Durant took a trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this week to take in the MLB All-Star action.

The 37-year-old former NBA MVP couldn’t avoid two burning topics surrounding the Philadelphia 76ers. The first, of course, was about Jaylen Brown.

After the Sixers struck arguably the most surprising trade of the 2026 NBA offseason so far by acquiring Jaylen Brown, NBA players from across the league have been dishing out their thoughts on how they see the Sixers.

What does Kevin Durant think?

KD’s one-word description of the Jaylen Brown Sixers

“Dangerous,” said the Houston Rockets forward. “I’m excited—happy for him—new fresh start. Philly fans are going to love him.”

Imagine saying Philly fans would love Jaylen Brown over the past decade. Durant’s words ring true already. Brown is bringing a fresh look to the Sixers, who have struggled to stay healthy and find postseason success over the years.

Last season, Brown appeared in 71 games for the Boston Celtics. Seeing the court for 34.4 minutes per game, Brown shot 47.7% from the field and hit on 34.7% of his threes to average 28.7 points per game. It was the best season of his career, as he added averages of 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

Many would say that Brown’s season was MVP-caliber. He now joins a lineup that includes the two-time All-Star Tyrese Maxey, the former MVP Joel Embiid, and the rising star VJ Edgecombe.

On paper, the lineup is dangerous and could attract the biggest free agent on the market, LeBron James.

Kevin Durant gives nothing on the LeBron James front

The Jaylen Brown trade seemingly improved the Sixers’ chances of luring in LeBron. The presence of Tyrese Maxey is expected to play a positive role as well.

However, players around the league are in the dark when it comes to the LeBron decision. Yes, that includes Durant.

“I have no clue,” Durant said when asked about his LeBron prediction. “Where he goes, though, I know he’s going to ball out. He still showed that he got a lot left at 42 years old. Any team is going to be better because of him.”

James’ resume speaks for itself. You can debate about where he stands on the GOAT list all you want, but what you can’t do is downplay what he’s brought to the game over the past two decades.

As KD said, LeBron is still bringing it. With the Los Angeles Lakers in 2025-2026, James appeared in 60 games. He shot 51.5% from the field and produced 20.9 points per game. He also produced 7.2 assists per game and came down with 6.1 rebounds per game.
