There is a lot of speculation about whether or not LeBron James is already entering his final season in view of his decision to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers, but it is certainly apparent that his playing career is close to getting over. Be that as it may, fans should probably expect him to be fully through with basketball once it is all said and done, as he just revealed that coaching basketball is not something that he wants to do once he hangs his sneakers up.

James recently had a golf scramble as part of his reunion with his championship teammates with the 2016 Cavs and in one instance, he responded to Channing Frye, who shared that he finds joy in yelling at kids, saying that he does not wish to be a basketball coach as he does not want to "yell at somebody that don't want it."

LeBron James makes a surprising decision about his career after playing basketball

With LeBron being widely renowned for his basketball IQ and deep knowledge about the X's and O's, one would think that he would make a perfect coach. However, it appears that he is not invested enough just yet in the motivational part of the game. As can be gleaned from his statement, he does not want to force effort from players who are not willing to give extra to the game.

Given the universal hoopla around The King, he will most likely remain a prominent feature in basketball even when he retires. He has long been rumored to be especially interested in owning an NBA team, and the impending expansion of the league (which includes Las Vegas) is actually aligned with his timeline once he stops playing.

TV deals and broadcasting offers will probably be lining up for James as well. He has not shown sufficient propensity just yet to veer toward that kind of post-playing career, but it is also one possibility he can explore.

Still, coaching is one thing that actually suits LeBron the best. He is a continuous student of the game and has a wealth of basketball knowledge, having played in multiple eras that entail different styles and approaches to the game. He is also obviously a well-connected individual, which is a prerequisite to being a coach. Hence, the fact that he has already foregone coaching is quite the surprise.

Well, at least for now.
