Notorious loudmouth says the wrong part out loud about Joel Embiid

Fake, agenda-filled news.

While the Philadelphia 76ers are fighting for their lives just to sneak into the playoffs, Joel Embiid is trying to recover just in time for his squad in order to be able to suit up for them when they make it to the 16-team race. Yet there are still people who, despite the clarity of the superstar big man's situation at this very juncture, remain so engrossed in firing off their agenda-filled tidbits.

Case in point? Look no further than Skip Bayless. A notorious loudmouth, he made a baffling statement during a recent appearance on the Gil's Arena Show that Embiid, just a few days after getting discharged from the hospital, is already on the clear to make his return to the hardwood but chose not to play instead, citing an anonymous source he claimed

That’s what I was told. That it’s appendicitis but it’s fine and went well these days they can just go quickly and pretty simply. And he could play if he chose to. So, now that’s like turmoil locker room kind of turmoil. Wait a second big guy, you know, can you play?

Skip Bayless delivers another false narrative around Joel Embiid

We know it's cool and all to dish in and fire off a vengeful take or two just to satisfy the daily need for such a thrill, but this one simply comes off as an uneducated take, even for an infamous, veteran rage-baiter like Bayless. It does not take rocket science to infer that a procedure which often takes up to three weeks of required recuperation will not irrelevant to the body after just a few days.

Bayless blatantly refusing to do the simple math only goes to reflect the baffling trend among fans and pundits alike of transposing Embiid's injury history –– a major chunk of them being objectively random and unavoidable –– into a narrative license in order to make people believe that he is a quitter.

Embiid is the complete opposite of what Bayless make him out to be. The former Most Valuable Player has repeatedly stated that he would trade his individual accolades (and his MVP trophy) for a shot at a healthy postseason run which he has not gotten for a millenium now.

Joel is going to be ready to play the moment the team doctors clear him for actual hardwood action. Until then, any and all absences are not causes for overthinking, overmagnifying, and most importantly, overreacting to the point of sheer falsity.

This might be the reason why Skip Bayless was never taken seriously by most, if not all, players in the league. At the very least, it is laughable how he is still clinging onto his phony persons to save his fumbling career.
