The 76ers are consistently winning the free throw battle

On a night where the 76ers shot 43.8 percent from the field while converting 25.9 percent of their 27 three-point attempts, free throws kept them in the game. The 76ers converted 24 out of 31 attempts and for the fourth time in five contests, won the free throw battle.

Having difficulty creating and converting quality attempts during half court sets is neutralized by their propensity to get to the line. Council IV went nine of 14, Dowtin Jr. drained six of eight, and Judah Mintz nailed all five as those three players accounted for 87.1 percent of the team's attempts.

Generating pressure on the rim is a valuable trait and it is keeping the 76ers in these Summer League games. If Philadelphia can convert more of their field goal attempts while continuing to get to the line, they’ll likely end up on the favorable side of the final scoreboard.
