2. Cedi Osman
Speaking of Batum replacements, another player the 76ers can laser in on is Cedi Osman. The seven-year veteran spent this season with the San Antonio Spurs after a lengthy stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but even a change of scenery didn’t faze him when it comes to executing his role to a tee.
San Antonio failed to muster any meaningful success this season (not that they were trying to), but Osman quickly proved himself as a worthy part of Gregg Popovich’s rotation. In just 17.6 minutes per outing, the Turkish forward tallied 6.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists a game, even becoming one of his team’s steadiest shooters with a 38.9 percent conversion rate from downtown.
The 76ers need high-impact players who can thrive even with limited servings of court time, and Osman easily profiles as a useful veteran who can do just that. While there are concerns with his defense (even though the effort is there), it would be hard to argue against the prospect of signing him especially given the fact that the front office won’t have to break the bank to secure his services anyway.
