3. Taurean Prince
Robert Covington was a much welcome addition to the 76ers early on, but what was expected to be a blissful reunion was thwarted by injury concerns and his waning utility. While he was still a defensive analytics darling, his offense was nearly non-existent, putting a hard cap on his minutes and role under Nick Nurse.
Having said that, Covington would be a loss defensively, forcing the 76ers to scour the market for 3-and-D alternatives. One name they should take a look at is Taurean Prince, who spent this season as a prominent role player for the star-studded yet funky Los Angeles Lakers.
Despite loud outcry from their rambunctious fans calling for his complete benching, Prince was actually one of the most reliable cogs for the Lakers this season, draining 39.6 percent of his three-point tries. But more importantly, he was their main plug-and-play guy on defense, being latched onto players from different positions in their aggressive point-preventing schemes.
