Trae Young
One of the most transcendent offensive talents in the NBA, Trae Young might be the unreasonable target here. Then again, would he be? One of Young or his backcourt partner Dejounte Murray are seemingly on their way out of Atlanta, and this could be the perfect chance for the 76ers to capitalize on.
There might be some initial questions about how a backcourt of Trae Young and Tyrese Maxey would hold up defensively, but I think those questions are null and void when you consider the kind of impact Trae brings as an offensive mastermind. Philadelphia could easily become the most high-powered offensive in the NBA, and they could find ways to hide Young on defense as well.
Donovan Mitchell
Another in-conference rival Maxey should be talking up is Donovan Mitchell. The high-scoring guard is under contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers until 2026, but several around the league have speculated that he would like to find a change of scenery.
Donovan's Cavs have performed very well as of late, so this one could maybe be a tougher sell for Tyrese than some others. But as for his fit on the court, Mitchell would be a no-brainer. He is right up there with De'Aaron Fox as one of the quickest guards in the league, and his scoring would easily supplant the production of either Embiid or Maxey when they are off the floor.
