1. Reggie Jackson is a buyout candidate given his weird fit with the 76ers

Philadelphia, perceiving the need for more playmakers with only Lowry and a score-first guard in Maxey as their table-setters, went ahead and plucked Reggie Jackson off the open market. The move, as of the moment, stands as a positive when operating under that context.

However, as the season moves along, things could turn for the worse for the longtime veteran. He's currently a third-stringer in most sensible depth charts, and will likely remain so unless Maxey or Lowry incurs an injury. But even so, resorting to younger commodities like McCain or even Jeff Dowtin could make more sense for the 76ers.

Jackson, who still boasts explosive three-level scoring in spurts, will likely be better off in another win-now situation as a buyout addition that has him actually playing minutes, something that could come by with much less frequency in a loaded 76ers team.
