4. Philly could use Monte Morris as a depth piece at PG
Speaking of getting more help in the playmaking department, the 76ers currently have no natural point guards on the roster (conservatively speaking on Tyrese Maxey). Jared McCain is more of a scoring guard, and Kyle Lowry’s fate is still to be determined at this juncture.
The point guard positon clearly needs some augmenting, and a veteran floor general whom Philadelphia could take a flier on is Monte Morris who, after a down season due to injury-related rust and inefficiency, should come cheaper this time around than in previous years.
One of the least error=prone players in all of basketball, Morris is capable of running second units and also playing next to high-usage ball handlers with his great spot-up shooting. He’s just a year removed from being a full-time starter, and the 76ers hypothetically snagging him for the vet’s minimum would be an A-plus move.
