1. The 76ers should reunite with Dario Saric

As mentioned, the 76ers need to find high-IQ players to surround their star-studded Big Three and mask some of their inherent passing inadequacies. Adding a single connector and a backup playmaker, however, won’t be enough. Put simply, Philly’s dynamic offense requires that the ball keep moving no matter who touches it.

Aside from Embiid, Philadelphia doesn’t have a big man who can slot in and make good reads. That’s why the 76ers should pursue a reunion with a former cager of theirs in Dario Saric, a floor-spacing big man who can hit open guys off cuts and curls and give the team more weapons offensively.

While the Warriors failed to make the playoffs, Saric nevertheless thrived as a playmaking hub off the bench for Golden State, fitting perfectly within Steve Kerr’s pass-happy motion offense. In just 17.2 minutes per game, the Croatian and former 76er registered 2.3 assists per game, an even more impresive feat given that he spent most of his on the court playing with Chris Paul.
