Tyrese Maxey made a huge leap in his NBA career this season. He improved every aspect of his game and became an All-Star. It was the perfect season for Maxey who was forced to become a superstar after James Harden trade out of Philadelphia.

The epitome of his great season was recognised by the league as the four-year guard was the Most Improved Player of the NBA season. Maxey's humongous jump made him a fan-favorite, while his work ethic and demeanor fit well with the 76ers fan base. Maxey was a diamond in the rough that the Sixers found late in the first round of the 2020 NBA draft.

As Maxey will admit, the Sixers star guard will have to continue work to round some rough edges and the Sixers know that the former Kentucky man has the ability to become even better next season. Maxey was the main offensive initiator for some time, while he showed the ability to play on and off the ball during his stint in Philadelphia.

Overall, his game has not had many holes, but Philly might want to see him developing even further in order to win in the postseason. Let's see in which areas the soon-to -become restricted free agent should look to improve.
