4 teams that could steal Buddy Hield from the 76ers this summer
4. Detroit Pistons
To say that the Detroit Pistons have struggled this season would be a colossal understatement. Their front office projected that their ill-formed roster can compete for a playoff spot this season to a grand dismay, forcing them to flip their veterans for assets before the deadline as they seek to somehow re-tool a rebuild that has already been going on for five years.
That being said, their youth movement will not stop the Pistons from seeking obvious roster upgrades. Their offense has improved greatly as of late, thanks to the shooting of some of their new cogs, but they will undoubtedly need more if they want to be even more competitive in the following years.
With their boatload of cap space, Detroit can aggressively pursue Buddy Hield and entice him by tendering a slightly above-market offer. He’d be a tremendous fit next to Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren, and Ausar Thompson while still being an easy player to liquidate if needed, especially considering the ever-present need of shooting in the league.
