The Philadelphia 76ers had plenty of room to move around in the 2024 off-season. They nabbed their big-time signing with Paul George, kept their up-and-coming superstar in Tyrese Maxey, and added several depth pieces around the superstar trio. Andre Drummond is considered a massive addition, while Eric Gordon brings veteran leadership and shooting to the wing position.

In addition to that, Kelly Oubre remained on the team, while the signing of Caleb Martin on a bargain deal is also a serious acquisition from the President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey. The franchise hopes that the Summer League squad can provide more depth options, while there are still free agents that can join the team on cost-friendly deals.

The 76ers can get a headstart in the trade market for next season

In reality, the 76ers have not much left in their financial books to sign true game-changers, so keeping an eye out for potential trade deals that can be made during the 2024–25 season, will be essential. Many rebuilding teams will explore giving up win-now assets for future draft capital and young players, and the Sixers might be able to snag a game-changer.

As of now, with 10 players under contract, the franchise might press on filling the roster with Summer League hitters or cost-friendly veterans, but the depth issue will remain, especially in the guard positions and the forwards rotation. The Sixers might have to wait on several players signing deals this summer, but if they want to make a true run for the NBA title, adjustments should be made in the middle of the season.

Without further ado, here are four early-trade candidates that Philadelphia should consider ahead of the 2024–25 campaign.
