2. Larry Nance Jr. could add toughness and strong hustle play in the power forward position

Larry Nance Jr. was an important part of the New Orleans Pelicans team the past few seasons. New Orleans used him as a salary filler in the Dejounte Murray blockbuster trade, and Nance might be in a situation that could force him to change teams again during the 2024–25 season. The veteran forward joined the Hawks, who are in a rebuilding state after nabbing Zacharrie Risacher in the 2024 NBA Draft.

It is rumored that Trae Young is also on the trading block, and the Hawks might need to offload some of their talent as the season progresses. Philadelphia will likely be searching for more depth in the forward position, especially with Boston and New York as the main rivals for the top of the Eastern Conference. In that case, Larry Nance Jr. fit their needs.

As an expiring deal worth around $11 million, Nance will be among the most coveted trade targets in the upcoming season. Last season, he had a strong contribution as a solid backup forward in New Orleans, posting 5.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in a little less than 20 minutes per game. If he can replicate shooting 41.5% on 1.1 attempts per game from beyond the arc, then the Sixers might need to monitor the veteran forward even more closely.
