1. The 76er should monitor Malik Beasley’s availability throughout the season

In the current NBA title sweepstakes, size and shooting proficiency are what the teams look out for, and Philadelphia has built its roster based on the same principle. However, there is still room for improvement, especially in the 3-point shooting department. In that case, Daryl Morey might have to keep an eye out for Malik Beasley.

Last season, Malik Beasley shot the lights out as a starter in Milwaukee while playing on a star-studded roster led by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. He surprisingly decided to sign a relatively cheap one-year deal with the struggling Detroit Pistons, maybe for a chance to amp up his numbers even more and pursue a better contract next year.

In any case, Beasley will be a great fit on the 76ers current roster, and if he stays efficient enough on a bad team, then the front office should look for a way to bring him in during the trade deadline. Beasley will be available for a trade after December 15, as he signed his new deal in July, and several contenders will look for the opportunity to pursue him.

For reference, Beasley made his 3-point shots on a career-high 41.3% clip in almost 7 attempts per game during the past season. His percentage went up to 44% during the Bucks first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.
