3. DeMar DeRozan — SF/SG (UFA)

The Chicago Bulls stubbornly decided to stand pat during the trade deadline, much to the chagrin of virtually everyone in the NBA. Nevertheless, their best player, DeMar DeRozan, will be set to enter free agency this summer, and unless the franchise stands on business with their irrational position, the multi-time All-Star could very find himself donning a different uniform next season.

The 76ers should be among the teams lining up for his services should they fall short on their marquee targets. Still a highly efficient scorer, DeRozan is as playoff-tested as they come, and should be able to seamlessly fill the shoes that would be left by Tobias Harris (assuming he’s let go) as the team’s nominal third option.

DeRozan isn’t getting any younger, but for, say, a contract in the 20 million-range, he’ll be a bargain addition. His mid-range remains potent (even though he’s has a relatively down year), and has added a modicum of three-point shooting to his arsenal. Even better, he’s a pretty reliable playmaker, capable of setting the table for his teammates for long durations.
