The Philadelphia 76ers are less than a month away from opening training camp, and this time around, they will be joined by Paul George, their newest flagship addition who serves to bolster their championship bid in the upcoming season.

But before the action on the hardwood begins, it’s only right to address the elephant in the room in NBA circles a few weeks ago. Need some refresher? Well, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards dished out a cheeky remark in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, claiming that save for Michael Jordan, no one had skill back then.

I didn't watch it back in the day so I can't speak on it. They say it was tougher back then than it is now, but I don't think anybody had skill back then. [Jordan] was the only one that really had skill, you know what I mean? So that's why when they saw Kobe, they were like, 'Oh, my God.' But now everybody has skill.

76ers star Paul George called out Anthony Edwards for his disrespectful remark

On the latest episode of the Podcast P show, new 76ers star Paul George addressed Edward’s remarks, noting that they were disrespectful to the game and ultimately came off as very immature.

George doubled down on the the unwritten, but well-established duty of younger players to at least acknowledge those that came before them, a fact that Edwards certainly does not indulge in by basically implying that aside from Jordan, the NBA turned in a product composed of unskilled spokes.

Edwards may be one of the brightest young stars in the NBA, but that declaration of his is simply too much for a player who has actually never won anything of significance yet in the league.

Ant-Man is definitely known for his blunt inputs, but this one is pretty ignorant, pure and simple. The fact that the very diplomatic George called him out is a big testament as to how he let his mouth run riot this time.
