76ers starting power forward: Brandon Ingram
2023-24 Stats: 20.8 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 5.7 APG, 0.8 SPG
Here’s where it becomes interesting. With most of the 76ers’ big-name targets already out of commission, the wisest strategy at this juncture is to perhaps convince the Pelicans into a trade for Brandon Ingram, who is widely considered to have already played his last game in New Orleans.
Depending on Ingram’s willingness to commit long-term to Philly and help facilitate a sign-and-trade, the cost of acquiring him shouldn’t be too steep. The Pelicans don’t exactly have a lot of leverage to one-up the 76ers, while the latter has more than enough pot sweeteners to make a convincing offer regardless.
One of the best all-around players in the league, Ingram would be perfect as a third fiddle in Philadelphia. In addition to the 76ers completely lacking a forward on the roster, the one-time All-Star has the kind of skill set that should flourish next to high-usage stars in Embiid and Maxey.
