5 potential point guard trade targets heading into the Trade Deadline: Tyus Jones

Like the Pistons, the Washington Wizards are also one of the worst teams in the NBA. That being written it's not like they don't have veteran players who could a team trying to make a deep playoff run. The player that will be focused on in this article is Tyus Jones.

Before coming to the Wizards in the offseason, Jones apart of the most complete point guard depth in the NBA as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies. He was the primary backup to Ja Morant and as his backup Jones was considered the best backup in the NBA. However, he's currently starting so he can't hold that title.

Jones is having a solid season, averaging 12.5 points and 5.8 assists per game. However, it's on a team with no real aspirations of winning and surely Jones would rather want to be on a contender. That's where the Philadelphia 76ers come in.

Potential trade

The Sixers get one of the best backup point guards in the league to stabilize the point guard depth chart and can run the teams' second unit. Jones get a chance to compete for a championship with this move too. The Wizards win this trade too as they get three rebuilding pieces with Jaden Springer, and two second picks in this upcoming draft.
