The Philadelphia 76ers managed to put in place a very formidable roster heading to the 2024-25 NBA season. After a series of playoff disappointments that continued in the previous campaign, the franchise now has the stylings and makings to be a legitimate powerhouse not only in the East, but in the entire league landscape.

As mentioned repeatedly, though, the front office probably still has something in their sleeve. Following their latest signings, the 76ers still have a couple of roster spots available. The rumor mill has been pretty mum lately, but you can count on Daryl Morey and co. figuring it out before training camp begins.

Expect the 76ers to make another move or two before training camp opens

The free agency market is almost like a fully consumed bar of soap at this point, with quality names having already been taken off the board by various clubs. While there are still players who should command Philadelphia’s interest, the safer — and wiser — bet is to expect the 76ers brass to venture into the trade market instead.

It’s still pretty early to make a major swap with all teams seemingly set for now aside from some desperate star-hunters, but the 76ers are actually incentivized to capitalize on a particular asset they’ve been tending for some reason. In this trade proposal, they finally pounce and make full use of such asset as they land a promising forward.
