At this point, it’s safe to say that the Philadelphia 76ers have the widest range of viable scenarios awaiting them in the playoffs. After all, security in the health department has been elusive for this squad, though latest developments could see the team reverse its fortunes on that end.

In fact, it’s probably a more sensible bet to count on the 76ers to make more noise during the offseason. After all, no team is projected to have an airier pocket than Philly — a much-needed weapon for the front office to retool the roster to add to their replenished war chest of draft picks and expendable contracts.

The Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as a serious suitor for Paul George

A big name recently touted as Daryl Morey’s next big get is Paul George, who has turned in another All-Star season with the LA Clippers. His team is widely believed to be the frontrunners to re-sign him in free agency, but that could easily change depending on how they fare in the postseason.

George will enter free agency as one of, if not the most desirable potential signee. While nearing 34, the nine-time All-Star remains an elite two-way force and a tremendous ceiling-raiser to any team with title aspirations.

Is there a tenable pathway for the 76ers to acquire George and actually incentivize the Clippers into pulling the trigger? Here is a proposed blockbuster swap that could just make the magic work.
