9. Reggie Jackson, PG
Does he have enough left in the tank to be in the rotation?
Reggie Jackson is probably going to play third fiddle behind Tyrese Maxey and Kyle Lowry, but Nick Nurse’s proclivity for dual-point guard setups bodes well for him. However, does he really have enough juice to keep going as an aging combo guard? Can he at least become passable on defense?
8. Andre Drummond, C
Can he sustain his extraordinary rebounding ability?
If there’s one thing Drummond does better than anyone in the NBA, it’s corralling rebounds. No one even comes close to his raw rebounding prowess. In all honesty, there’s almost no chance that he flops on that end, especially with Embiid not expected to play heavy minutes during the preseason to keep his body fresh.
7. Eric Gordon, SG
Can he still defend at a non-liability level?
Gordon used to be a really solid one-on-one defender, but given his age, it’s more difficult for him to be a factor on that end. His three-point shot, which is almost as rangy as anyone’s in the NBA, will be his selling point, but the 76ers probably won’t be happy with a one-trick pony at this point.
