6. Kyle Lowry, PG
Can he remain a dangerous off-ball shooter?
Lowry is very unlikely to be tethered to the bench for the most part, though he is expected to man the second unit. Nevertheless, he is more of a spot-up shooter at this point with secondary playmaking chops. He shot north of 40 percent from rainbow country last season, a mark that will give him staying power in the rotation if he keeps it up.
5. Kelly Oubre Jr., SF
Can he remain a factor on both ends even with another mouth to feed?
Oubre was a pleasant surprise last season, While he cooled off and regressed to his normal shooting splits, he nonetheless was a key player for the team thanks to his ability to punish defenders sagging off of him and improved defensive tenability. With Paul George now on board, can he keep it up and remain a part of the starting unit or continue being the team’s nominal sixth man?
4. Caleb Martin, SF
Can he manage being outsized on a nightly basis?
Size isn’t something the 76ers are abundant in, especially at forward. Heck, many are penciling 6’5 Caleb Martin in as the starting power forward for the team next season. While he is adept defensively, can he handle being outsized almost on a nightly basis? If yes, then Philly can get away with its expected funky configurations.
