2. Santi Aldama would be a nice under-the-radar trade deadline boost

The 2024 Summer Olympics has seen a handful of role players in the NBA thrive under bigger roles, and one of them is Santi Aldama. The Spaniard, who has been with Memphis for three seasons now, has emerged as one of the best floor-spacing big men in Paris, leading Spain to a respectable finish despite the loss of their former stars.

However, the Grizzlies will be trotting out a deeper armory of big men next season, and Aldama could be the odd man out. For the right offer, Memphis would likely be amenable to moving him before the deadline, and in that case, the 76ers should come knocking at their doors for a shot at landing the stretch big.

For a low-usage, three-and-D big man, Aldama fills a much-needed niche role as a floor-spacer who can capably defend opposing frontcourt players. Standing at nearly seven feet, his ranginess is a valuable wrinkle in tema concepts, and his skill set would give the 76ers much more offensive variance from their big man rotation while not giving up leeway on defense.
