The Philadelphia 76ers are playing the San Antonio Spurs for the second time this season, and last time we saw history for Joel Embiid in this matchup.

Can the Spurs avoid a scenario like this on Sunday?

There’s a chance Embiid may not play all together on the second night of a back-to-back, but if he does there is one prop bet that I love for him, and a Spurs play as well for their starting point guard Tre Jones.

Let’s break down the best props on Sunday:

Sixers vs. Spurs best NBA prop bets

  • Joel Embiid first basket scorer
  • Tre Jones over 10.5 points

Joel Embiid first basket scorer

76ers star Joel Embiid has been terrific since returning from a knee injury, and I think there’s a chance he plays on the second night of a back-to-back after playing just 23 minutes in the team's win over Memphis.

The Sixers are just three games out of the No. 3 seed, so there is plenty of room for the team to move up the standings in the last week of the season.

Embiid comes into this game with 10 first baskets in 37 games, taking the first shot more than any other player in action on Sunday (27.0 percent of the time).

He also dominated the San Antonio Spurs in his first meeting with them this season, scoring a career-high 70 points.

Embiid is a must bet – even at this shorter number – on Sunday.

Tre Jones over 10.5 points

Tre Jones could be in line for a big scoring game on Sunday compared to his prop, as the Spurs are down both Jeremy Sochan and Devin Vassell in this game.

With two starters out, Jones may be called upon to pick up the slack, something he has had to do lately, scoring 14, 10, 12 and 13 points in his last four games.

The only game that Jones went under this prop since Vassell went down was when he recorded 10 points in a triple-double effort.

I expect the Spurs guard to get his fair share of looks (three straight games with nine or more shots) with the team shorthanded.
