David Jones is another undrafted addition joining the 76ers. Jones secured a two-way contract after starring for the Memphis Tigers last season. He started all 32 games with the Tigers and consistently filled up the stat sheet scoring 21.8 points per game while collecting 7.6 rebounds and generating 2.2 steals.

Relatively inefficient shooting 45.9% from the field, Jones shot a respectable 38% from three. That was an encouraging development considering he shot <30% from his previous two stints at DePaul and St. John’s (NY).

Jones has good size standing at 6’4” with a 6’7” wingspan. He is a creative ball handler and demonstrates keen footwork to generate attacking angles against his primary defender. Struggling to finish in the paint decreases his effectiveness and he is prone to defensive lapses but the framework for a quality reserve is present. Either way, he’ll be an exciting player to watch in the summer league during the upcoming weeks.

This is a good haul of players to prepare Philly fans for a highly anticipated free agency period!
