The 2024 offseason has been a big one for the Philadelphia 76ers. The team acquired several big names including Paul George, Caleb Martin, Andre Drummond, and Eric Gordon while drafting shooting guard Jared McCain with their first round pick. With the new look Sixers squad set to debut in just over two months, let’s take a look at the Eastern Conference power rankings and see how the team stacks up.

10) Detroit Pistons

The 2023-2024 season was historically bad for the Detroit Pistons as the team won just 14 games and fired head coach Monty Williams in the first year of his lucrative contract. With that being said, the team did make improvements this offseason by adding a plethora of veterans including Tim Hardaway Jr, Tobias Harris, Paul Reed, and Malik Beasley while drafting a talented forward in Ron Holland. Combine these moves with the addition of J.B Bickerstaff as head coach and the Pistons should make an immediate leap in the Eastern Conference.

9) Atlanta Hawks

Despite finishing last season with the 10th seed in the East, The Hawks lucked out by getting the number one pick in this year's draft where they selected Zaccharie Risacher to pair with star guard Trea Young. Risacher provides the team with shooting to go along with length and range on the defensive end. The loss of Dejounte Murray will hurt but the Hawks have enough talent on the board to at worst make a run for the play in.
