6) Cleveland Cavaliers

After a disappointing end to the 2023-2024 season, the Cavaliers parted ways with J.B Bickerstaff and brought in Kenny Atkinson to run the ship. Atkinson is a highly regarded head coach who gets a lot out of his players. With no major additions or subtractions this offseason, Cleveland will no doubt be right in the thick of the playoff race in the East. The Cavaliers have an excellent core intact with Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Darius Garland but they have to put it together when it matters most.

5) Indiana Pacers

The Pacers made all the right moves this offseason, extending Paskal Siakam and Andrew Nembhard after an impressive playoff run. The team’s defense is a concern after they finished as the 22nd ranked unit in the NBA last year. On the offensive end, they have a lot of talent and this showed as they were just one step away from a Finals appearance. A full year of Siakam and Tyrese Halliburton should have the Pacers vying for a spot at the top of the Eastern Conference once again.
