3. PJ Tucker

PJ Tucker, who was included in the outgoing package during the James Harden deal, has had his most unproductive season yet as a professional thanks to his sparse court time with the LA Clippers. And while he’s likely to exercise his $10 million player option for the following campaign, one might ponder if he could be convinced to hit the market instead in search for a more meaningful role.

One team that could actually give him a role he so desires is the team that just traded him, the 76ers. Philly’s armory of forwards is an entire flight risk, and even if they manage to abate it by successfully snagging a big name, they could do much worse than bring Tucker back for a coup de grace.

While offering almost zero offensive acuity at this point in his career, save for the rare wide-open corner three he parades as his lone weapon, Tucker remains a hawkish one-on-one defender who can get stops when needed. His infectious intangibles and on-court leadership also stand as viable reasons to snag him for cheap with the 76ers still following a strict edict to win now.
