The Philadelphia 76ers overcame a big halftime deficit to defeat the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament Wednesday night to grab the No. 7 seed in the playoffs.

Philadelphia is arguably the hottest team in the NBA with the first round of the postseason approaching this weekend. The 76ers have won nine consecutive games and the team’s surge is correlated to the return of reigning Most Valuable Player Joel Embiid.

Embiid missed two months after a meniscus injury which caused Philadelphia to drop out of an automatic playoff spot and into the play-in tournament. The 76ers were 29-17 when Embiid went down and just a half-game out of the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference standings. With their star big man back, the 76ers are now priced like one of the top teams in the NBA by oddsmakers in the futures market.

Oddsmakers give Sixers better odds than Bucks to make NBA Finals

Philadelphia is already a small betting favorite over the higher-seeded New York Knicks in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, but the Brotherly Love doesn’t stop there.

In some spots, Philadelphia is the second favorite to win the Eastern Conference. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the 76ers are +700 to reach the NBA Finals, which is ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks (+750).

No matter where you shop, the Boston Celtics are the clear-cut favorite to reach the NBA Finals for the second time in three seasons. Boston is currently -200 on DraftKings to win the East.

Philadelphia is the seventh favorite on the NBA Championship odds board to win it all, according to DraftKings, at +1700.
