1. Dalton Knecht

Knecht has led Tennessee to the number two seed in the Midwest region and the Vols are among the favorites in this year’s tournament. They face Saint Peter’s in the first round on Thursday evening, and Knecht’s dynamic offense will be something to marvel at whenever Tennessee plays.

The 22-year-old was unranked coming out of high school and spent two years playing junior college basketball before transferring to Northern Colorado. He blossomed in his second season there but wanted to improve his draft stock. Knecht chose to finish his career with the Volunteers under Rick Barnes. Few expected him to improve his production with the step up in competition, but Knecht was up for the challenge.

He was one of the best scorers in the NCAA this season and made 2.5 3-pointers per game on 39.7 percent shooting from long range. Knecht is a bucket and will be ready to make an impact in the NBA from day one. There are questions about his defense, but the 6’6 wing has too much offensive skill to be left on the bench.

The Philadelphia 76ers must nail this draft pick, but who will they target? Daryl Morey has to decide between an NBA-ready talent or someone with more upside. Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey have the Sixers ready to win now, but teams can never have too much skill and potential on their roster.
