5 Newly-available trade targets 76ers should pursue after Dec. 15

3. Gabe Vincent
The 76ers do not want to take the ball out of Tyrese Maxey’s hands. The 23-year-old has shined in an expanded role, but Philly could use another creator and ball-handler. Finding someone capable of playing on or off the ball would be a plus, and the Sixers would love to add a bit more playoff experience to their roster.
Vincent was the Heat’s starting point guard during their NBA Finals in 2023, but this season has been a disaster so far. He signed a three-year deal with the Lakers this summer, but could not make shots in his four games before suffering a knee injury. Vincent hasn’t played since but is nearing a return.
D’Angelo Russell is expected to be moved before the deadline. If the Lakers plan on landing a third star to pair with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, they need additional salary to match. Rui Hachimura and Gabe Vincent are the two most likely options on the Lakers' cap sheet.
If it is Vincent, he could be sent to a third team. Contenders across the league will have interest if he can prove that he is healthy. The Sixers would have to take on multiple years of salary, but getting another ball-handler makes it worth it.
