4. OG Anunboy

The 76ers would love to add Anunoby. The 6’7 wing won a championship with the Raptors in 2019 and is one of the best defenders in the NBA. He has the size and versatility every team wants on the wing. OG has made 38.3 percent from 3-point range over the last five seasons combined. He is just entering his prime and capable of making an impact on both ends of the floor.

Anunoby has a $19.9 million player option for next season. He will decline it and is searching for significantly more in free agency. The 26-year-old was traded to the Knicks in December. New York gave up R.J. Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a second-round draft pick in the trade, which makes Anunoby truly becoming available significantly less likely.

The Knicks would not have given up Barrett and Quickley for six months of Anunoby. They know how much OG wants and are willing to pay him this summer. It is the only way New York makes the trade and gives up significant assets to acquire him.

Philadelphia’s chances to acquire him was during the season. The Raptors prioritized young talent over draft capital, which eliminated the Sixers. OG Anunoby will not be reuniting with Nick Nurse in the City of Brotherly Love this summer, and neither will this former Raptor.
