Orlando struggled during the parts of four seasons he played for the franchise, but the 6’8 forward established himself as a starter and consistent contributor. Harris re-signed with the Magic in 2015 but was traded to the Pistons less than one year later.
Orlando returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2020 and lost Game 7 to the Cavaliers in the opening round. The Magic are a rising team led by former number-one overall pick Paolo Banchero. They will look to upgrade their roster this summer and are projected to have significant cap space. Fans have heard their rumored interest in Klay Thompson, but who is their fallback option?
The Magic have never been a destination in free agency, which may leave them settling for Tobias Harris.
