1. Pistons
Harris spent parts of three seasons in Detroit, including helping the Pistons reach the playoffs in 2016. Over 157 games, he averaged 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 32.1 minutes per game.
The Pistons haven’t made the playoffs since 2019 and have failed to win more than 23 games in a season during those five years. They desperately need an influx of talent and a projected to have $60-plus million in cap space this summer.
Most believe Harris will return to Detroit (subscription required) this summer. The Pistons will likely offer the biggest contract, and the 31-year-old can lead a young team in hopes of getting back into the postseason mix.
The Detroit Pistons will have a new top decision-maker this summer, which could alter things here. They are eager to spend and add talent. A Tobias Harris reunion still makes sense, but only if the new top exec is on board.
Tobias Harris will not return to the Philadelphia 76ers this summer. Where does he end up in free agency? He will have options, but is unlikely to get a massive deal like the one he just finished with the Sixers. Harris has to decide on his best fit as Philadelphia chases a third star in free agency. Stay tuned to see how it all plays out.
