1. 76ers land 3rd star

There have already been rumors about Pascal Siakam, which figure to heat up as the deadline approaches. The two-time All-Star expressed his desire to stay in Toronto over the summer, but there has been no extension. The Raptors have to quickly decide if he is one of their building blocks or not.

Philadelphia and Morey want a third star to replace James Harden. Siakam does not fit a traditional mold, but he offers scoring, playmaking, and defense that should excite the 76ers. The 6’8 forward is familiar with head coach Nick Nurse and should quickly find his place in Philly. It would likely take two first-round picks to make the deal happen, but the Sixers could offer this.

Siakam trade

What stars will be available before the deadline? The 76ers do not want to go all-in on Zach LaVine because of his defensive questions. DeMar DeRozan and Siakam are the other two marquee names at this juncture. Siakam feels like the cleanest fit and gives Philadelphia the best shot at winning the title in 2024.

Will the Philadelphia 76ers make a massive splash before the Feb. 8 trade deadline? They did not get draft capital for James Harden to make the selections, so stay tuned to the rumors for all the latest.
