1. Kyle Lowry
Kyle Lowry returned for another go-round in Philadelphia for next season, and as currently constructed, he is expected to be the main guard off the bench to spell Tyrese Maxey — a role he assumed last season before a brief promotion to the starting lineup.
The one-time NBA champion proved to be a pretty reliable secondary, low-usage offensive dynamo thanks to his three-point shooting and passing, but he’s 38 years old and is in no way an iron man. The 76ers badly needed another table-setter who can give him and the coaching staff the latitude for rest, and with Reggie Jackson, that void is now filled.
Even if Jackson starts the season off as a third-stringer, he is not a rhythm shooter who needs a lot of legroom to ignite. He has the stylings to replicate production in a fast manner, and even better, he has the skill set that would fit well next to Lowry in dual point guard configurations thanks to his slashing ability.
