The Sixer Sense Podcast returns following back-to-back home losses by the Philadelphia 76ers. The roster was shorthanded for these games, but the New York Knicks game particularly seemed to raise more questions than answers. Let's dive in!
Jonathan Geib and Lucas Johnson first look at the Sixers blowout loss to the Knicks 128-92 on national television. This was Joel Embiid's first game back and he picked up right where he left off with a 30-point, 10-rebound performance. This was far from enough even when paired with Maxey's 27 points, and 9 assists. Since the OG Anunoby trade, the Knicks are undefeated. Will this trade have a larger impact on the Eastern Conference playoff picture than was originally thought?
Next, the guys look at the Sixers' loss to the Utah Jazz. The team was shorthanded as three starters, Embiid, Tobias Harris, and De'Anthony Melton were on the injury report alongside Robert Covington. Utah has surprisingly won 10 of their last 14 games. Should the Sixers still have been able to get the win in this game?
With the NBA Trade Deadline just one month away, there are differing thoughts on whether the Sixers need to make a big move before the deadline. Jonathan and Lucas have different answers to this. They also discuss the best players that are reportedly available to trade. Which teams in the NBA will be the biggest buyers or sellers at the deadline in hopes of upgrading their rosters or focusing on rebuilding?
