The Sixer Sense Podcast is back following a brief hiatus and is ready to talk about the Sixers heading into the second half of the NBA season. The Sixers went 2-2 in their last four games heading into the All-Star break, which could not come soon enough for this ailing roster.

Philly took tough losses to the Atlanta Hawks who were missing Dejounte Murray and the Miami Heat without Jimmy Butler. The team was able to beat the Wizards, who are the worst team in the NBA, and then followed that up with a very impressive victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers who entered that game on a 9-game winning streak. Kelly Oubre Jr. and Buddy Hield have provided the offense in Joel Embiid's absence and hopefully, that will continue when he returns.

Jonathan Geib and Lucas Johnson dive deeper into the acquisition of Buddy Hield at the trade deadline. In four games since joining the Sixers, Hield is averaging 22 points, 7.5 assists, and 45% from three-point range. Hield is well-known as a lethal shooter, but his playmaking in his short time with the Sixers has been the most eye-opening. When the Sixers roster is fully healthy, will Hield be a starter or a reserve? How can Nick Nurse handle this decision?

The podcast closes out with a discussion about All-Star Weekend. The only current Sixer participating is Tyrese Maxey, who partook in the Skills Challenge in addition to playing in his first All-Star game. Jonathan and Lucas recap the dunk contest, skills competition, and three-point shooting contests, including Sabrina Ionescu vs. Steph Curry. Give the podcast a listen at the link below!
