The Sixer Sense Podcast has a 50-point performance to discuss as Joel Embiid dominated the Washington Wizards. The Sixers escaped with a 5-point victory over Washington which also saw the return of Kelly Oubre Jr. to competitive basketball.

First, though, the Sixers are eliminated from the In-Season Tournament, yet it is worth some discussion. The semifinals are tonight with the Indiana Pacers playing against the Milwaukee Bucks and the New Orleans Pelicans playing against the Los Angeles Lakers. The quarterfinal games truly felt like a playoff atmosphere and the games were much more fun to watch than another regular season game. Who do you think will win the inaugural NBA Cup?

Now back to Sixers basketball. A win is a win and the Sixers had lost four of their last six games so this game was needed. Oubre Jr. scored 12 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in 19 minutes. He did not look back to form, but a game against the Wizards was probably a good game to return and get his feet wet. Embiid's stat line was incredible. In addition to the 50(!!) points, he had 13 rebounds, and maybe most impressively another 7 assists. His game is continuing to develop and this performance was MVP-worthy.

A former Sixers player also made some news as James Harden appears to continue to try and hurt his former team. He made comments this week indicating that Morey did promise him a max contract. This contradicts what he revealed during the NBA's investigation in the summer so who knows what is true. Do you think Morey did make this promise? And could Harden's comments have an impact on Daryl Morey and the Sixers? Give the podcast a listen below.
