The dust has settled from the NBA’s regular season and the field has been trimmed to teams bidding for the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

The Philadelphia 76ers navigated the two-month loss of reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Joel Embiid and ended the regular season with an eight-game winning streak once he returned.

With Embiid sidelined, Philadelphia did lose out on an automatic playoff spot and fell to the No. 7 seed, the top spot in the Eastern Conference’s play-in tournament. According to the FanDuel Sportsbook, the Sixers are favored to win Tuesday’s play-in game against the No. 8 Miami Heat to secure the No. 7 spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Sixers set as sizable favorites in Eastern Conference play-in game vs. Heat

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Sixers are currently a 4.5-point favorite over the Miami Heat for Tuesday's play-in game. On the money line, Philadelphia is a -196 favorite ($100 bet wins $51.02), which carries an implied probability of 66.22% that the Sixers will beat the underdog Heat to advance to the No. 7 spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Philadelphia went on a tear over its final eight games of the regular season, going 8-0 straight-up and against the spread. Overall, the Sixers have covered 10 consecutive games and 14 of their last 16 dating back to a 13-point loss to Phoenix on March 20.

Miami has thrived in this spot, though, going 16-9 ATS as a road underdog this season, the best mark in the Eastern Conference and second-best in the NBA behind New Orleans (14-5-1).

How has Philly fared against Miami this season?

These two Eastern Conference-rivals split the four-game regular season against each other, with each team going 2-2 straight up and ATS.

Embiid didn't play in the first three matchups. He suited up in the latest meeting on April 4, turning in 29 points in 33 minutes as Philadelphia used a hot start to hold off the Heat on the road, 109-95, as three-point underdogs.

Miami went 1-1 at Wells Fargo Center this season with Embiid sidelined, falling on Valentine's Day, 109-94 and winning 98-91 on March 18.
