Given the size of his contract, they don’t have much choice. Additionally, Lendeborg has already proven his ability to step up when the spotlight shines brightest for Michigan in the NCAA Tournament. He recorded 25 points and six rebounds in the Wolverines' dominant 95-72 victory over Saint Louis during their second-round matchup.
Philadelphia requires a forward who can fit into a system that does not require them to be the vocal point of its offense but allows the stars around him to thrive -- Lendeborg is more than capable of this. The well-rounded forward's basketball intelligence allows him to participate in intricate play calls, including dribble hand-offs, pick-and-rolls, or simply camping out in the corner waiting for the opportunity to sink a spot-up three.
