The NBA world hopes that it will soon be decision time for Philadelphia 76ers target, LeBron James.
On Thursday, July 16, James is going to make a public appearance at the popular Fanatics Fest in New York City. The superstar forward is planning to do a live taping of his podcast, ‘Mind The Game.’
Instead of having Steve Nash on the stage with him to speak as his usual co-host, James will be joined by Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton.
On Wednesday, July 15, Haliburton took to social media to send a quick message to promote the live segment that the crowd will check out. Of course, it feels like Haliburton is promoting an incoming free agency decision. That's not a guarantee.
Tyrese Haliburton has a 3-word message for LeBron James
“Tomorrow it’s time,” Haliburton said, while tagging James in the post. That got over 4 million views.
Tomorrow it’s time @KingJames

Many NBA fans commented to inquire about what exactly did Haliburton mean by that? Of course, there’s a low chance the All-Star will elaborate. The cryptic nature of the post is what really drives the excitement for the upcoming episode.
The Sixers need answers
It’s been over two weeks since LeBron James told the Los Angeles Lakers that he wasn’t going to return to LA to play out what could be his final season.
Shortly after, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers were the two teams quickly linked to the former MVP. Eventually, the Miami Heat came into play, and the Sixers were known to have inquired as well.
While the Sixers didn’t generate too much buzz in the LeBron market initially, that all changed after they struck a blockbuster deal with the Boston Celtics.
The Sixers sent Paul George to Boston, along with a package of picks. In return, the 76ers landed Jaylen Brown. Adding an MVP-caliber forward in his prime suddenly placed the 76ers in a different class when it comes to the LeBron market. At this stage, it might be safe to assume the Sixers are top three in the LeBron market.
Earlier this week, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that LeBron had most of the intel he needed from executives who reached out to his agent, Rich Paul. On Tuesday, it was revealed that players have been in contact with James, making their pitch. ESPN reported that Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Jaylen Brown stated their case.
Hopefully, the Sixers can get clarity on Thursday so everybody can move on and look forward to the 2026-2027 NBA season with or without James.
