The Philadelphia 76ers will be a must-see squad in the 2026-2027 NBA season. Despite dropping in the second round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs against the New York Knicks, the Sixers made some notable changes, which have changed the way the league views them.
A blockbuster trade with the Boston Celtics swapped out Paul George for Jaylen Brown. That move put the 76ers on LeBron James' radar amid the superstar forward's "final decision." James ultimately passed on several teams to sign with the Sixers.
Suddenly, the 76ers are viewed as one of the Eastern Conference's top contenders. And considering it could end up being LeBron's final season in the league, the NBA isn't going to waste an opportunity to put the 76ers on the prime-time stage. For cable users, NBC Sports Philly is carried by Xfinity (Comcast), Verizon Fios, Armstrong Utilities, Adams Cable, Astound Broadband, Blue Ridge Cable, Breezeline, Hotwire Communications, Optimum, and Service Electric.
The games will be called by Kate Scott on the play-by-play, with Alaa Abdelnaby offering color commentary. Although the full crew has not been announced yet, the network is reportedly looking to add another contributor to handle courtside coverage throughout the 2026-2027 NBA season.
