With the frontcourt essentially set in stone for this upcoming season, the Sixers have taken a quantity over quality approach with their point guard situation. Philadelphia’s front office has further clouded the picture by signing Kendall Marshall, and now it seems like sort of a toss up in terms of who will start week one.

Opinions as to who the number one point guard will be are wide spread throughout Sixers nation. It has sort of become a ‘which guy do you like the most’ competition among fans. It would be bold to think one specific player from this cluster of young guns is going to take over the position from day one. You can bet point guard by committee will be the mantra early on while guys begin to define their roles. I would imagine Brett Brown is going to have quite the assignment when it comes to splitting up minutes.
Not all six of the point guards currently under contract with the Sixers will be on the active roster come late October, so I thought some early rankings could provide some clarity for what we can expect from the Sixers floor generals this season.
