Are The Sixers Winning, And Could They Surprise The League?
This won’t be hard to notice. Last season the Sixers started their season by losing their first 17 games. They’d certainly like to improve there, and winning the first game would be a step in the right direction. Now, I don’t know if that’s going to be possible for this Sixers team and the condition they’re in right now, but I don’t see them going 17 games without a win to start the year off.
Hopefully they’re winning some games, and hopefully they can get the first few weeks going with some wins. That momentum could carry throughout the year and push them until at least the All Star break.
Wins would also be surprising the league. But what would surprise the league more is them winning enough to be competing for the eighth and final spot in the NBA playoffs for the Eastern Conference. I’ve compared them to last year’s Charlotte Hornets, who I don’t think were that much better than this roster. Really, the Hornets utilized an easy schedule and put themselves in a position that had them competing for that final playoff spot. The Sixers could do this, and shock everyone, since almost all media outlets have them rated last before the season.
Don’t sleep on the Sixers. They may end up surprising some people who do.
