14. Moses Malone Has 38 Points And 24 Rebounds Over Celtics
The recently honored and unfortunately departed Moses Malone had one of his best games of his Hall of Fame career on January 30, 1985. The Philadelphia 76ers were a game and a half behind the Boston Celtics for top of the Atlantic Division before the game, and won 122 to 104. Moses Malone was a major reason for the Sixers victory scoring 38 points and 24 rebounds.
While Malone only made 11 of 23 field goal attempts, he was perfect from the line making all 16 of his free throw attempts. Malone ended up being the leading rebounder of the 1984-1985 season with 13.1 rebounds per game and was ninth in the league in points per game with 24.6.
Malone managed to score over 10 points his season average and near double his rebounds over a Larry Bird led Celtics team that won the NBA Championship the previous season.
